The Tamil rap sung by Dulquer Salmaan is out and fans are already in a frenzy. The song Achamillai, released by the makers, is part of the actor's Tamil film Hey Sinamika where he sings about societal pressure. The actor is said to have sung the rap in a record time of 90 minutes after perfecting his pronunciation and getting hang of the pace of the song. He worked with the writer Madhan Karky on his pronunciations. Earlier, the debut director Brinda Master has said in an interview with IANS that Dulquer always wanted to sing this song but she and music composer Govind Vasantha had their doubts. Though the actor is a great vocalist, he has never sung in Tamil before and they were also worried because of the fast pace of the song.

But Dulquer was always up to try the song and he did so with ease. Brinda had said that the actor put his heart and soul into the song and it is clearly now evident too in the video.

Hey Sinamika also stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Kajal Aggarwal. The story revolves around a couple, played by Dulquer and Aditi who are planning to file for a divorce after being in a loveless marriage for five years. Dulquer plays the role of stay-at-home husband. The film is scheduled to release on February 25, 2022, in theatres. The film's release has faced several delays already due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
