The team of the Kannada superstar’s film have been requested people to report any instances of piracy to a certain number and email ID, but that’s been no deterrent to piracy sites.

A few days ago, during the promotions of Vikrant Rona, Kiccha Sudeep had been asked what he would do if his film were to be pirated. The actor’s earlier Pailwaan had been leaked even before its release in HD quality, so, it was expected that he’d have a plan. Sudeep, though, responded that he can do a lot of things, but cannot stop bad intentions (referring to the piracy).
The film, which released in theatres today in 3D and 2D, is reportedly available to download in a hi-definition version on several ‘popular’ piracy sites. The HD print was uploaded within hours of the film’s early morning shows. The source of the leak is yet to be ascertained, but it is being reported that the film is available with multiple audio tracks.
The much-anticipated fantasy-action-thriller has Sudeep in the title role, a police officer who comes to a village called Kamarottu, after his predecessor is murdered under strange circumstances, while investigating the mysterious disappearances and deaths of children in the area. How he goes about unravelling this mystery forms the crux of the narrative.
The Anup Bhandari directorial has a massive ensemble cast, including his brother Nirup, Neetha Ashok, Ravishankar Gowda, Madhusudan Rao, Vajradhir Jain, Siddu Moolimani and Ramesh Kukkuvalli, among many others, with Jacqueline Fernandez and Milana Nagaraj chipping in with pivotal cameos.
The film has music by B Ajaneesh Loknath, for who Vikrant Rona marks his third collaboration with Anup, having scored the background score for Rangitaranga and Rajaratha, and his first with leading man Sudeep. William David, who has also worked with Anup on his earlier films, reunites with the filmmaker and handles the camera. Art director Shivakumar, who is also famed for his work on the KGF saga, has created the world of Vikrant Rona.
