'Hide sharp objects': Samantha Ruth Prabhu gets honest on her split with Naga Chaitanya on Koffee With Karan 7

Koffee With Karan 7 continued the tradition of open, candid celebrity conversations on its couch with its new season. The latest episode of the chat show saw Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Akshay Kumar grace the couch. The actress did not hold back in the least when discussing her separation from ex husband Naga Chaitanya.

When Karan posed a question to Samantha about the social media trolling she received after her separation from Naga Chaitanya, the host referred to the actor as Samantha’s husband. Quickly correcting the host and calling Naga Chaitanya her ‘ex husband’, Samantha said that she was not in a position to complain about the situation, since it was a path she chose. The actress said that she had chosen to be transparent and reveal things about her personal life.

When she separated from Naga Chaintanya, Samantha said she felt she couldn't be ‘too upset’ about the same. Fans had become invested in her life and she felt responsible to give them answers, although she did not have them at the time. The actress talked about how she believed she came out of it okay. Karan also tried to give her support saying that some circumstances were beyond one’s control and called Samantha ‘brave’ for acknowledging it and choosing to move on.

Karan then went on to ask if there were any ‘hard feelings’ between the two, to which Samantha replied “ Are there hard feelings, like if you put us both in a room, you have to hide sharp objects? As of now, yes”.

Saying that it was not an ‘amicable’ situation between her and Naga Chaitanya at the moment, Samantha said that she believed things would get better in the future.
