Hidimbha out on OTT: All you need to know about Ashwin Babu, Nandita Swetha's thriller

Hidimbha is one film that young actor, Ashwin Babu pinned a lot of hopes on. The film's success would have taken him to the next level and made him a bankable actor in Telugu cinema. So, Ashwin Babu promoted the film from the day its teaser was launched. Nandita Swetha turned cop for the first time in her career with Hidimbha, which had a very unique storyline and was directed by Anil Kanneganti.

Hidimbha was released in theatres on July 20, 2023, and opened to a decent talk. But as there was no star value and proper post-release promotions, the film flopped at the box office. We at OTTplay had already reported that the streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Aha.

The makers inked a decent deal with Aha and made profits before the release. It is only the theatrical revenue that the film flopped in no time. Well, we had also reported that the film would be streaming on Aha from August 10, 2023. As reported, the film is now out and is live on Aha, the most popular Telugu App. 

The team of Aha locked 7 PM IST for the premiere time as there was a massive demand for the film on OTT. Ashwin Babu plays a man-eating cannibal in the film and his performance in the last half an hour is quite special. Makarand Deshpande played the main villain in this film and his performance in key scenes is top notch

Hidimbha is about the man-eating clan and Ashwin Babu played one of them in the film. The film is bankrolled by Sreedhar Gangapatnam under SVK Cinemas in collaboration with Anil Sunkara’s AK Entertainments. Now that the film is out on Aha, we need to see how the action drama fares in the digital space.
