Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead in the action thriller, written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu
Adivi Sesh is gearing up for his second theatrical release of the year after Major, the biopic of armyman Sandeep Unnikrishnan. He headlines Hit 2, the action thriller written and directed by Sailesh Kolanu, that’s set to hit screens on December 2. Meenakshi Chaudhary is cast alongside him in the thriller produced by Prashanti Tipirneni and presented by actor Nani under Wall Poster Cinema.
After a terrific response to the teaser, the makers unveiled the theatrical trailer today. In the initial part of the trailer, Adivi Sesh as an officer Krishna Dev (KD), downplays the intelligence of criminals and calls them pea-brained. A girl named Sanjana is found murdered under mysterious circumstances , with the investigation suggesting no possible evidence of rape. Tanikella Bharani plays the girl’s father.
However, as KD digs deep into the case, he’s constantly outsmarted by the killer at every level and also faces issues with his superior (Rao Ramesh). The murder snowballs into a controversy over time, with the public and the media asking hard-hitting questions. KD is doing his best to overcome all the obstacles around him and find answers, until the battle gets personal.
The killer even takes a dig at KD’s ‘criminals are pea-brained’ comment. Post-mortem reports later suggest that the criminal wasn’t only behind Sanjana but many other women. KD is clearly frustrated, but will he be successful in his quest for the psychopath? The trailer is slick, helped by the sharp edits, impressive cinematography and a cast that performs their parts with conviction.
Posani Krishna Murali, Komalee Prasad, Srinath Maganti, Srikanth Iyengar too play key roles in Hit 2. S Manikandan cranks the camera for the film while it’s edited by Garry BH. Manisha A Dutt is the production designer with MM Sree Lekha, Suresh Bobbili composing the songs. John Stewart Eduri has worked on the background score. The prequel to the thriller, Hit, starred Vishwak Sen, Ruhani Sharma.
