Telugu Star Nani has often spoken about his early days as a radio jockey, before he got into cinema. He hosted a show called Non-Stop Nani, which got him a Best RJ recognition, but Jersey -actor Nani doesn’t think he was much good on the job. Reminiscing about his days as an RJ during the promotions of his next, HIT 3, which will be in theatres on May 1, 2025, Nani said that the stint was quite the confidence boost for him, considering that he was an introvert prior to that and was, hence, a man of few words.

Speaking to Manorama Online, Nani said, “I was a below average RJ, but prior to that, I was quite the introvert. I would talk only if needed and was not very confident. I would never initiate a conversation with anyone. That one job made me talk and gave me a lot of confidence. It helped me open up, especially due to the friends and colleagues I had in the office,” he said. The actor adds that talking into a microphone has also helped him in his acting career, as he became more talkative and understand that he could go and mingle with anyone.

During the interaction, Nani, who plays a cop for the first-time ever in HIT 3, a film that’s been rated A for its violence, also said that while music is one of his biggest stress busters, what he also does to relax is to revisit childhood favourite films. His favourites are Mani Ratnam’s Anjali or Dalapathi , which, he says, he must have seen hundreds of times over the years and yet, he goes back to them over and over again because they take his mind away from everything and into a separate zone.

HIT 3 is the third instalment in the universe directed by Sailesh Kolanu and has been produced by Nani’s Wall Poster Cinema. The film also stars KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty in the lead, as the calm in Nani’s Arjun Sarkaar’s very tumultuous life.
