HIT 3 director Sailesh Kolanu to direct Akkineni Nagarjuna in his next | Exclusive

HIT 3 is all set to hit the screens on May 1, 2025, and the bookings are on fire. The trade is expecting Nani's career-best day one numbers, as HIT 3 is set to open somewhere around Rs 30 crore gross on day one. HIT 3 has been directed by Sailesh Kolanu, the man who made Saindhav with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam star Venkatesh.

As Saindhav flopped, Sailesh stayed away from the limelight, penned the script of HIT 3, and is now back with a bang, as his film has become a hot topic of discussion all over. Sailesh has directed three films in the HIT franchise, and the fourth one is Saindhav, which is a flop. So far, the films made by Sailesh in the HIT franchise have been hits.

So, whenever he works with another hero outside the franchise, things are not that great. But we at OTTplay have come to know that Sailesh has locked yet another star hero, Nagarjuna, for his next.

Going into details, a few weeks ago, Sailesh met Nagarjuna with an action drama and narrated the script to him. One of the sources close to the unit says that the Shiva and Bangarraju star, Nagarjuna, loved the story and asked Sailesh for a complete narration.

Well, once HIT 3 releases, Sailesh will meet Nagarjuna with the complete script. The news is that Nagarjuna is keen to do a film with Sailesh, as he has not done many cop dramas in his career. Once HIT 3 hits the screens, Sailesh has big plans to announce the film.

For now, Sailesh is busy with the last-minute release formalities of HIT 3, which has Srinidhi Shetty and Jersey fame Nani in lead roles. Nani is the man who launched Sailesh into Telugu cinema, and the young director has come a long way in his career.

But HIT 3 is his biggest test to date, as it has Nani playing the lead role. The stakes are high, and the film needs to open big, as a lot of money is riding on the film.
