Sailesh Kolanu is back with a bang after the success of HIT 3. His last film, Saindhav, with Sankranthiki Vasthunnam star Venkatesh, ended as a big flop at the box office, and Sailesh was heavily trolled on social media for letting go of such a great opportunity. So, he took some time off and made a comeback with HIT 3, featuring Nani, which has opened to record collections all over.

Sailesh, for the first time, opens up about Saindhav and says he takes complete responsibility for the failure. "Though many say the timing of the release was not right, I do not believe in that. I feel the writing part was not great, and I let many down with that film. Everyone believed in my vision and came on board, but I let them down," says Sailesh.

Adding further, he says that the failure of Saindhav made him think ten times about the HIT 3 script, and he kept correcting the mistakes before taking the film to the floors. "The failure of Saindhav hit me hard, and as I knew I was at fault right from the scripting stage, I made sure HIT 3 would not have any such issues. It took me a lot of time to pen the investigative scenes, hence the delay in making the Nani film."

When asked about working with Venkatesh, Sailesh says he learned a lot about discipline. "I will surely make another film and score a hit with Venkatesh," he adds.

Sailesh also says he's thrilled to be back with a massive hit and did not predict this kind of opening for the film. "I knew the Jersey star, Nani, would pull the audience, but I did not expect such massive openings. With each passing show, occupancy is only growing, and I am eagerly waiting to see if the film touches the Rs 200 crore mark," he concludes.

HIT 3 is Nani’s biggest film in terms of budget, scale, and opening. Netflix has bagged the digital rights for a whopping Rs 54 crore, landing the makers massive profits. Srinidhi Shetty played the female lead in HIT 3, portraying a cop in the action drama. Finally, Sailesh says he's almost ready with his new film and will announce it when the time is right.
