There is a select section of moviegoers that are excited every time a Rajkummar Rao led movie is released. The same was the case as HIT - The First Case hit theatres on Friday. While this did not convert to a big box office opening on the first day, the movie saw considerable growth on Saturday. 

As reported by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, HIT - The First Case saw a growth of close to 49% on Saturday, minting Rs. 2.01 crore on its second day. The thriller made an opening collection of Rs. 1.35 crore in the country on Friday. 

“#HIT: #TheFirstCase witnesses an upward trend on Day 2 [growth: 48.88%], although the 2-day total remains low... Biz needs to accelerate on Day 3 as well... Multiplexes continue to be its key contributors... Fri 1.35 cr, Sat 2.01 cr. Total: ₹ 3.36 cr. #India biz,” Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter. 

The movie sees Rajkummar Rao play Vikram Jaisingh, a cop with the Homicide Intervention Team. While he struggles from PTSD, he is tossed onto the trail of a missing woman. The movie is the official Hindi remake of the Telugu movie of the same name. Both the original and the remake is helmed by Sailesh Kolanu. 

“HIT: The First Case is an intriguing and taut watch. It will keep you looking for answers until the very end, but the answers might not leave you impressed,” read the movie’s review on OTTplay. 

Also starring Sanya Malhotra, Dalip Tahil, Milind Gunaji, Shilpa Shukla, Jatin Goswami, and Sanjay Narvekar, the thriller is now available in theatres near you.
