HIT - The First Case starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra is the latest remake to hit theatres from Bollywood. The cop drama thriller, which was released last Friday, has now minted over Rs. 5 crore after its first three days.

As reported by India Today, the movie has made Rs 2.30 crore on its first Sunday, taking the total figure to Rs 5.58 crore after three days. Having made just Rs 1.35 crore on its opening day, the first weekend numbers were improved following a decent Saturday and Sunday. The movie also had an overall 16.58 percent Hindi occupancy on Sunday.

While the movie started off slow, the growth in numbers is thanks to positive word of mouth and contributions from multiplexes. The movie has received fairly positive reviews following its release.

“Rajkummar, who is headlining the film brilliantly, shows his emotions and his vulnerable side beautifully. The talented actor, yes, hands down, he is, adds a lot to this film, making it a taut watch without any loose ends,” read a part of the movie’s review on OTTplay.

HIT - The First Case, is the official remake of the successful 2020 Telugu movie of the same name. Sailesh Kolanu, who directed the Telugu movie is also at the helm of the Hindi remake. While the Telugu movie had Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead, the Hindi remake also features Shilpa Shukla, Dilip Tahil, Sanjay Narvekar and Milind Gunaji in important roles.

The thriller drama, which follows a cop suffering from PTSD who has been tasked with a taxing case, is now available in theatres near you. The Telugu original is now available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
