Rajkumar Rao and Sanya Malhotra are the leads of HIT: The First Case, which is the Hindi remake of the Telugu movie of the same name. Sanya Malhotra has now opened up about working on the upcoming movie and her co-star.
As reported by Mid-Day, Sanya said that while the movie is a dark investigation thriller, working on the movie was a boost of serotonin as she was surrounded by creative minds and that even though she was juggling multiple projects, it did not feel heavy on the set of HIT. She added that despite it being a thriller, it felt like a comedy off camera.
The actor also heaped praise for her co-star Rajkumar Rao and stated that there was a lot to learn from the actor. “There is so much to learn from him. Everyone knows how good he is. He knows he has proved himself, and yet, he never stops or lets himself slack. The excitement of an acting student is intact in him,” she said.
The movie’s makers recently released its trailer, which hints at a dark thriller that looks to keep the Telugu original at heart. The movie follows a police officer working with the Homicide Intervention Team who suffers from PTSD. He is soon thrown into the grinder as his loved one goes missing.
Director Sailesh Kolanu, who helmed the Telugu original, is also at the helm of the Hindi remake. Apart from Rajkumar and Sanya, the movie also features Dalip Tahil, Milind Gunaji, Shilpa Shukla, Jatin Goswami, and Sanjay Narvekar in important roles.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Dil Raju, Krishnan Kumar and Kuldeep Rathore, the movie is set to release on July 15.
