Graham McTavish confirms that he will be joining the cast of Game of Thrones prequel in a mysterious role

House of the Dragon is perhaps one of the most awaited shows for Game of Thrones (GoT) fans. This GoT prequel, which is currently under production, has already created a buzz online. In the midst of fans speculating on who is going to join the cast, one actor has been confirmed as a part of this project. Hobbit actor Graham McTavish has verified that he will be appearing on the show in an interview with UK based fashion magazine Stylist.
The actor, who was spotted in costume on the set of the show, shared his experience of working on the sequel in an interview promoting his documentary titled Men in Kilts. “I’m really having a lot of fun. We’ve just started. It’s a very big project, so we’re getting to know each other. They’re lovely people. It’s great, but I can’t tell you too much. I can’t tell you really anything about the story! But it involves a lot of dragons", the Outlander star stated.
HBO has still not made an official announcement about McTavish joining the cast. The role that he plays in the much-anticipated fantasy drama is kept under the wraps. The Hobbit actor will be joining the star-studded ensemble alongside Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Rhys Ifans, Sonoya Mizuno and Fabien Frankel.
With six GoT prequel shows in progression, the first prequel tale is House of the Dragon. Set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones, this drama has been created by show runners Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik. Saga author George R.R Martin will be serving as the executive producer for this series which is set to premiere in 2022 on a major streaming platform.
