Hoichoi's Mouchaak announced: Monami Ghosh turns Mou Bodi

A promotional video of Mouchaak, a show to premiere on the Bengali OTT platform Hoichoi, featuring Monami Ghosh in the role of Mou Boudi, was released earlier today. In the video, the character enters with a set of keys stuck to her waist. The viewers get to see three cutouts of men stuck to a bottle, which Mou breaks with a smiley ball. Another bottle has Rs. 5 lakh attached to it. Unfortunately, Mou is unable to break that bottle or even move it a lot.

Many fans believe that the dramatization and heightened tone of the trailer is largely similar to the shows produced in Ekta Kapoor’s OTT platform AltBalaji. Some have even found a resemblance between Mouchaak and Mona Lisa aka Antara Biswas’ show Dupur Thakurpo 2, the biggest similarity being the lead character's surname. While Monami Ghosh plays Mou Boudi in Mouchaak, Antara Biswas was seen as Jhuma Boudi in Dupur Thakurpo 2.

The two also have a similar concept - that they are women who lure men with their sexuality. The show, which is a HoiChoi original series, is set to premiere on June 18. The trailer of Mouchaak will release on June 8, which may help fans know if the show is related to Dupur Thakurpo 2 in any way.
