Hollywood films are back in vogue for Indian audiences and luckily, there’s been an array of exciting releases week-after-week. But unlike in the past, one may not be needed to step out of their homes to catch a movie because the streaming service is popular and ubiquitous. Regardless, we have put together a quick list of English language films that are coming out on both the big screens and on OTT - from documentaries, guilty pleasure comedies to epic Westerns, there’s something for everyone, as it turns out!

Killers of the Flower Moon (2023) - October 20

Martin Scorcese brings together Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro for an epic Western crime saga based on the Oklahoma murders that occurred in the Osage nation in the 1920s. Arguably one of the most awaited releases of the year, Scorcese's latest work has been already dubbed a masterpiece by critics following its film festival run over the past few months. Lily James, Jesse Plemons, John Lithgow, Brendan Fraser and others, too, star in the film.

Old Dads (2023) - October 20

Stand-up comic Bill Burr is joined by Bobby Cannavale and Bokeem Woodbine in his pursuit to navigate the 'millennial' world which, as it turns out, he does not relate to even one bit. Burr has also directed the film and co-written it with Ben Tishler so one can safely expect it to boast his trademark wit and comical angst, along with some touching moments of a dad's journey in the modern world.

The Pigeon Tunnel (2023) - October 20

Errol Morris, the legendary documentary filmmaker behind seminal films like The Thin Blue Line, The Fog of War and Tabloid, tells the story of David Cornwell, the man we all know and revere as the novelist John le Carré. The film, named after Carré's own memoir, attempts to discuss the many diverse aspects of the celebrated author's life, especially his career as both a spy and his literary works.

The Devil on Trial - October 17

The infamous 'Devil Made Me Do It' case took place in Connecticut, USA, in 1981 wherein a 19-year-old boy confessed that he murdered his 40-year-old landlord under a demonic possession. So, for the first and only time ever in the history of the United States legal system, devil possession was used as a defence in a murder trial - the latest documentary attempts to shed light on the truly bizarre incident that is still recounted by many. It also uses firsthand accounts of those involved in the case to add more perspective and context.

The Nun II (2023) - October 19

Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) comes face-to-face with the demon nun, Valak, once again after a priest is murdered in France. The sequel to the superhit 2018 film might have received a few mixed reviews but those who have watched do claim that it's got lots and lots of chills and thrills.
