Honeymoonish OTT release date – Watch the modern-day Kuwaiti romantic comedy on THIS platform

Honeymoonish is a refreshing journey of laughter and love that is ready to stream on OTT this summer. The Kuwaiti romcom adventure is the first of its kind to be shot in London. Directed by Elie El Semaan, the film’s script was written by Eiad Saleh. Brought to life by Eagle Films, Honeymoonish is a modern-day Kuwaiti romantic comedy that highlights the clash between traditional and modern beliefs, without bashing any.

Instead, the film shows a collage of fun misadventures that befall the protagonists before they find acceptance and a middle ground. Honeymoonish will be available for streaming on Netflix from April 29, 2024. The film has released a trailer, but the clip with English subtitles is exclusively available on Netflix itself.

However, the sneak peek and film’s logline offer enough information to tantalize and intrigue viewers. The film follows a series of comical misunderstandings, mistaken identities, and revelations that lead polar opposites Noor and Hamad on an unlikely adventure, known as marriage.

Hamad seeks a traditional, cultured, smart woman, while Noor is a modern-day woman with her own set of preferences and expectations from her future husband. When the two are being set up for dates and marriage, a series of mishaps and misunderstandings ensure their marriage and a honeymoon that could spill everything.

Set against a honeymoon full of surprises and revelations, Honeymoonish is a hilarious romcom that explores the complexities of love, the power of second chances, and the essence of balance and acceptance in life, under the guise of humor. Though Noor and Hamad are not that sure of their bond, their matchmaker mutual friends cum married couple, Amal and Wael, are, especially as they are ‘sort of’ responsible for the marriage mess the protagonists are in.
