Hot Spot 2 cast reveal: Priya Bhavani Shankar, MS Bhaskar, Ashwin Kumar and others introduced in sarcastic style

We had earlier reported that a sequel to the 2024 Tamil hyperlink film Hot Spot is in the making. The makers on Monday unveiled the teaser unveiling the all-new cast of the film, which is helmed by Vignesh Karthick.

Hot Spot 2 cast unveil:

In a three-minute-long teaser, it starts with the voiceover introducing every cast member with a quirky introduction. Aadhitya Baaskar who had appeared in Hot Spot 1, Sanjana Tiwari of Varisu fame, Ashwin Kumar, and others were introduced with a sarcastic voiceover that talked about the controversies that some of the actors were part of. Like Ashwin Kumar who had boasted about falling asleep during script narrations, Bhavani Sre who only appeared for a second in Viduthalai 2, Rakshan who claims to be the next Sivakarthikeyan, and others were also introduced in a comical style. Other actors like MS Bhaskar, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Thambi Ramaiah, and others are also part of the film.

Hot Spot is written and directed by Vignesh Karthick who had also starred and helmed the first part. The technical crew of Hot Spot 2 includes camera cranked by Jagadeesh Ravi and Joseph Paul, music scored by Satish Raghunathan and edits handled by Muthayan. Hot Spot is set to release in theatres sometime in early 2026. Vishnu Vishal is presenting the film.

Hot Spot 1- Where to watch on OTT

Hot Spot is available for streaming on Aha Tamil and subscribers of OTTplay Premium can also watch the film. Vignesh Karthick who had made Plan B and Adiyae, had created four stories and hyperlinked them as a feature with Hot Spot. The film dealt with taboo and quirky topics such as male prostitution, and starred Kalaiyarasan, Sofia, Sandy, Ammu Abhirami, Janani, Gouri G. Kishan, Subash and Adithya Bhaskar, along with the director himself. Hot Spot 2 is expected to feature new stories and will not be a continuation of the previous film.
