Housefull 5 update - Abhishek Bachchan reunites with Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh after third instalment; details inside

With yet another thrilling revelation, Sajid Nadiadwala has confirmed that Abhishek Bachchan will be returning to the star-studded cast of Housefull 5. Filming for what promises to be a new chapter in the comedy franchise will commence in the UK in August of 2024. Abhishek's impeccable comic timing, evident in numerous films, promises even more fun and laughter for fans.

Confirming the news, Nadiadwala said in a statement that he is absolutely overjoyed to have Abhishek return to the Housefull series. The filmmaker added that the actor's honesty, genuineness, and comic timing will take their film to the next level.

Abhishek Bachchan on rejoining the franchise

Abhishek went on to share that, as one of his favourite comedy franchises, Housefull brings him a sense of comfort and familiarity. Having Nadiadwala on board has always been a delight, and he can't wait to have an absolute blast on set with his co-stars, Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh. Tarun Mansukhani is a great friend of mine, and Abhishek can't wait to work with him again after Dostana. The actor affirmed that the film is going to rock.

Production on Tarun Mansukhani's Housefull 5 is reportedly going to be logistically hard because the entire film will take place on a cruise and features an A-list cast that includes Abhishek Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh, and Akshay Kumar.

All about Housefull series

With its signature brand of comedy and star-studded friendship, Housefull 5 aspires to be the first Hindi cinema series with a fifth chapter. June 6, 2025, is the scheduled release date of the film.

For the uninitiated, Housefull is a comedy film series that features Ritesh Deshmukh and Akshay Kumar in every installment. Sajid Khan directed both Housefull and Housefull 2. Sajid-Farhad directed Housefull 3, Farhad Samji directed Housefull 4, and Tarun Mansukhani will direct Housefull 5. Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, which Sajid Nadiadwala heads up, is producing the film series. 

In any case, the plot of one film does not carry over into the next. Nevertheless, the subject matter and tempo are unaltered.
