Housefull 5: Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh starrer to release with two different endings—each with a different killer

With the choice to release two versions of the film, each with its climax, upcoming Sajid Nadiadwala film Housefull 5 is going in a unique direction in Hindi cinema. Housefull 5 and Housefull 5 A are the titles of the two versions that have been officially submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which has caused quite a stir.

Different killers in each version

Bollywood Hungama has learnt from an inside source that the two adaptations will diverge on a crucial storyline point: who is the killer. A source informed the entertainment portal that the killers in both versions will differ. Y would be the killer in Housefull 5 A if X is the killer in Housefull 5. The objective is to make people want to watch it again and again since the last twenty minutes will be entirely different with new comedic ebbs and flows. The source also shared that to give audiences a clear picture, BookMyShow will also distinctively list both the versions.

They went on to say both the film business and moviegoers are curious about this new format, and many are eager to witness the reactions. This will also lead to further discussions after the film's premiere, as various audiences will have the opportunity to see different killers. The source stated that only Sajid Nadiadwala (who produced Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi) could have imagined such a breakthrough.

Sajid Nadiadwala's long-time vision realised

According to Nadiadwala, who has been thinking about the concept of numerous climaxes for a long time, he has already drafted the screenplay and scenario. For the past three decades, he has been considering the plot of Housefull 5 with two other endings. The filmmaker finished writing Housefull 4 three or four years ago, and then the idea for his thriller finally occurred to him, as he has always wanted to do one. This is his lifelong ambition realized— he penned the screenplay and story himself.

Nadiadwala further elaborated on how the experience varies from one screening to another. He mentioned that across single screens and multiplexes, there's a show at 3 o'clock and another at 6 o'clock that have different endings. Housefull 5 is a hilarious murder mystery and it was a source of both joy and restlessness for him to write it. According to Nadiadwala, once the script was complete, the journey became even more successful with the addition of Akshay Kumar (Sabse Bada Khiladi and Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi) and others.

Star-studded cast and high expectations

The film's official release date is June 6, 2025, and Tarun Mansukhani is the man behind the camera. Featuring a giant ensemble of 19 actors and Akshay Kumar's return as the lead, Housefull 5 is expected to be a big hit at the box office, with the goal of attracting repeat audiences with its different takes on the story.
