Housefull 5 OTT partner revealed! Here's where you can stream Akshay Kumar's comedy thriller after its theatrical run

Housefull 5 will hit Prime Video after its June 6, 2025, theatrical release. It's the fifth installment in the Housefull franchise. Once the movie finishes its theatrical run, the Tarun Mansukhani–directed, Warda Nadiadwala–produced, and Firuzi Khan–starred comic thriller will be available to watch on the OTT service.

Slapstick comedy meets murder mystery

Adding a murder mystery plot to the series' trademark slapstick humour, this film represents a departure from the Housefull films. The murder of a billionaire is at the centre of this mystery, which takes place on a lavish cruise. The murder investigation takes an unexpected turn when Akshay Kumar's character teams up with other passengers, setting in motion a hilarious chain reaction. Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff, portraying detectives in the case, further escalate the tension.

Housefull 5 will break new ground for a commercial Hindi film by releasing in two distinct versions, Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B, with separate killers and climaxes. Sajid Nadiadwala came up with the idea of a dual-ending film thirty years ago with the hope of attracting new audiences and keeping old ones interested. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has certified all versions of the film as U/A following specific cuts.

Star-studded ensemble cast

Both familiar and unfamiliar faces can be seen in the ensemble cast. The film features Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh in addition to Fardeen Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Dino Morea, Shreyas Talpade, Chunky Pandey, and Johnny Lever. Soundarya Sharma, Sonam Bajwa, Chitrangada Singh, Nargis Fakhri, and Jacqueline Fernandez are the female cast members. Nikitin Dheer and Nana Patekar are also part of the ensemble.

The film will now be released in June 2025, instead of its initial Diwali 2024 release date. The film should have a more defined run during the summer box office season thanks to the new date.
