On August 1, 2025, Prime Video will stream Housefull 5 for all subscribers, the newest installment in the long-running Housefull franchise. As part of Prime Video, users can now see the film for free but with ads, even if it was available for early rental before.

The film follows in the comedy franchise's footsteps with its large-scale mayhem, multi-star casts, and a complicated plot—this time entwined around a murder mystery—and is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Warda Nadiadwala, and Firuzi Khan under the umbrella of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

The plot takes place on a lavish cruise ship and centres around several imposters vying for control of a billionaire's wealth who passed away suddenly. In their pursuit of the enormous estate, three men quickly become entangled in a series of killings and are identified as the prime suspects in a dangerous game while pretending to be someone else.
Dual versions with different climaxes
The fact that Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B were released as two distinct versions of the film, each with its own climax and ending, added an additional layer to the film's structure.
The film's opening weekend earnings were Rs. 81.85 crore, while its first-day earnings were Rs. 24.35 crore. The total amount collected in its first week was Rs. 113.10 crore. Total earnings in India were Rs. 190.88 crore as of July 3, 2025, with an extra Rs. 46.76 crore coming from outside markets, bringing the total worldwide to Rs. 237.64 crore. The film's average verdict at Box Office India was recorded despite its commercial results.

The OTT release of Housefull 5 means that the film can now be enjoyed by more people, particularly those who were unable to see it in theatres or rent it. Beginning August 1, Prime Video subscribers will have the option to stream either version of the film.
