The third iteration of the 'How to Become' series is back on Netflix with the latest limited series focusing on the rivetting topic of mob or mafia bosses. Peter Dinklage returns as the narrator with his inimitable 'bassy' voice to take us through history and tell tales of the rise and falls of some of the biggest exponents of organized crime.

Titled How to Become a Mob Boss, the six-part series is set to debut on Netflix on November 14, 2023. From the OG Scarface Al Capone to the darling of all mafiosos, Pablo Escobar, How to Become a Mob Boss will trace the ebbs and flows of some of modern history's most notorious gangsters with each of the six episodes dedicated to one dignitary.

Also part of the roster is John Gotti, the man who led the Gambino Family in New York City, the Harlem drug lord Frank Lucas, the ruthless chief of the Sicilian Mafia Salvatore Riina and Winter Hill Gang's Whitey Bulger.

As the trailer reveals, Peter Dinklage's narration will accompany a mix of real-life accounts and slick animation to paint a vibrant picture of the lives of the men. Previously, Netflix produced How to Become a Tyrant in 2021 which looked at controversial leaders of the recent past such as Adolf Hitler, Saddam Hussein and Joseph Stalin. Similarly, the second edition of the series, How to Become a Cult Leader explored the workings of cult leaders like Charles Manson, Jim Jones and Shoko Asahara.

As far as How to Become a Mob Boss, each of the aforementioned mob bosses has been brought to life on the screen before with Whitey Bulger famously portrayed by Johnny Depp in Scott Cooper's 'Black Mass' and Frank Lucas by Denzel Washington in Ridley Scott's 'American Gangster'.

Salvatore or Totò Riina has been fictionalized in several movies and TV series over the years with Marco Bellocchio's 2019 Italian film The Traitor being the most noteworthy title. Both John Travolta and Armand Assante have played John Gotti in the past (on two different occasions) and Netflix's own three-part docu-series 'Get Gotti' traces how the FBI brought down the dangerous man.

The story of Pablo Escobar, on the other hand, has been on multiple occasions with the 2015 series 'Narcos' being the most popular and celebrated title of the lot. Wagner Moura's portrayal of the leader of the Medellin Cartel won him a lot of praise with other cast members Boyd Holbrook, Pedro Pascal, Joanna Christie and others, too, making strong impressions on the global audiences.
