Hoysala teaser: Karthi, Kiccha Sudeep, Adivi Sesh & others launch first glimpse

Daali Dhananjaya is set to kick off 2023 with the action drama Hoysala, wherein he plays the titular role of Gurudev Hoysala. He will be seen donning a supercop's avatar for the film and fans are keenly looking forward to this exciting venture which is scheduled to release on March 30th. Ahead of the release, the makers unveiled the first video peek into the world of Gurudev Hoysala to reveal the dashing cop's larger-than-life persona and the high-stakes drama of the film. 

Gurudev Hoysala, as the Glimpse of Gurudev teaser shows, is unflinching and uncompromising in his approach to cleaning up the system. "Whether is good or evil, that's left to judgement but the people most certainly love him," says Achyuth Kumar's character in the teaser, highlighting that Dhananjaya's role as the crusader brims with intensity and action. 

Directed by Vijay N, Hoysala is said to be inspired by several real-life incidents to discuss the flaws that exist in the police force. The film has been extensively shot in Belagavi and Dhananjaya has shared in his previous interviews that he was mainly attracted to the film because of the subject it tackles. Dhananjaya reunites with his Rathnan Prapancha producers Karthik Gowda and Yogi G. Raj of KRG Studios for Hoysala with Vijay Kirangadur of Hombale Films presenting the film.

Hoysala also stars Amrutha Iyengar, Naveen Shankar, Achyuth Kumar, Avinash BS (of KGF fame), Anirudh Bhat, Mayuri Nataraj, and others. Kantara composer Ajaneesh S. Loknath has scored the soundtrack with Karthik S and Deepu S Kumar handling cinematography and editing respectively. 

Following a slew of slightly below-par box office performances over the past 12 months or so, which also includes his own production venture Head Bush, Dhananjaya would hope that a promising commercial entertainer like Hoysala reverses his fortunes. The actor also has his Tamil debut Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku, Pushpa 2 and Zebra (along with Satyadev Kancharana) in the pipeline.
