Hridayapoorvam: Mohanlal celebrates teaser trending on #1 with another feel-good poster

The upcoming Malayalam movie Hridayapoorvam, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, has been the buzzword ever since the makers dropped the much-awaited teaser. Fans have taken a special liking to the short glimpse from the Sathyan Anthikad movie. And to nobody’s surprise, the Hridayapoorvam teaser is trending at the number 1 spot on YouTube. Mohanlal is also happy to note this, and dropped a new poster from Hridayapoorvam.

Mohanlal’s Hridayapoorvam teaser trends on top

Hridayapoorvam is the upcoming Malayalam film, directed by the veteran filmmaker Sathyan Anthikad. The teaser, featuring the lead actors Mohanlal, Sangeeth Prathap, Malavika Mohanan and Siddique, was unveiled on July 19, 2025. As the teaser continues to trend in the number one position with close to 2 million views, Mohanlal dropped another poster from the film. In the latest poster, Mohanlal and Sangeeth are seen happily looking at a phone, while Siddique seems to have a bemused look on his face. The poster seems to be set at a home, and exudes feel-good vibes, much like the teaser.

Considering it is a Sathyan Anthikad movie, who is known for his feel-good yet thought-provoking film, Hridayapoorvam is also expected to be a light-hearted film. The posters and the recent teaser also confirm this. It would be a welcome change for Mohanlal, as his last two releases of 2025 - Thudarum and Empuraan - were action-packed thrillers.

Another highlight of the movie is that it brings Mohanlal and Sathyan Anthikad together after 10 years. They last collaborated on the 2015 film Ennum Eppozhum, which also starred Manju Warrier. They have been part of many popular films such as Nadodikkattu and Gandhinagar 2nd Street.

Hridayapoorvam release date

Meanwhile, Hridayapoorvam is set for a grand release in theatres on August 28, 2025, making it the perfect Onam release. The Mohanlal-starrer will clash with Fahadh Faasil’s Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira and Kalyani Priyadarshan’s Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra.

Mohanlal is also set to start shooting for his highly anticipated film Drishyam 3, with Jeethu Joseph, after Onam.
