Hridayapoorvam teaser: Mohanlal's new teaser promises netizens with feel-good film as Malavika Mohanan calls him 'Pookie Lal'

The teaser of Hridayapoorvam, the upcoming Malayalam film featuring actor Mohanlal in the lead role, has been unveiled. Touted to be a family entertainer, the upcoming film will feature a slew of known faces and is scheduled for a theatrical release for Onam this year. The release date is August 28.

We had earlier reported that veteran Malayalam director Sathyan Anthikad who has worked in over 50 films and five decades will be collaborating with actor Mohanlal for a film titled Hridayapoorvam. The makers of the film unveiled the teaser of the Mohanlal-starrer on social media on Saturday.

The teaser begins with a young man asking Mohanlal where he is from while standing in what looks like a college corridor. To this, Mohanlal says he is from Kerala. The young man says that he loves the 'very sensible' Malayalam film industry and his favourite actor is FaFa referring to Fahadh Faasil. Even as Mohanlal suggests that there are 'good senior actors', the man sticks to Fahadh, making Mohanlal leave the scene. The teaser then cuts to showing various characters from the film, as we see Mohanlal in the light-hearted entertainer. We see some men in army uniform, and with the man less familiar about Kerala cinema, it looks like the film is set outside the state.

Cast and crew of Hridayapoorvam

Produced by Antony Perumbavoor under Aashirvad Cinemas banner, and directed by Sathyan Anthikad, the film features Mohanlal, Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, Sangita, Siddique, Nishan, Baburaj, Lalu Alex, Janardhanan and others. Hridayapoorvam will mark Mohanlal’s third release this year, after L2 Empuraan and Thudarum.

The story of Hridayapoorvam is by Akhil Sathyan, while the screenplay and dialogues are penned by Sonu TP. The film is shot by Anu Moothedath with music by Justin Prabhakaran. The film is slated for release on August 28 for the festive season of Onam.

This Onam, Malayalam cinema will be coming up with Mohanlal-starrer Hridayapoorvam along with Fahadh Faasil's Odum Kuthira Chadum Kuthira, Hridhu Haroon’s Maine Pyar Kiya and Shane Nigam's Balti.
