However, things took a sharp turn when Ranveer Singh decided to call it quits and parted ways with Don 3. This led to a major fallout between the makers and the actor. What began with a creative difference and delayed production quickly escalated into a feud between Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh. When Farhan’s Excel Entertainment sought a compensation of Rs 40 crore, which was spent on the pre-production, Ranveer denied paying any amount, citing that the entertainment business is highly subjected to change.
The Dhurandhar star mentioned that he spent nearly a year transforming for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra, but the project was shelved, and he did not receive any compensation for that. He also stated that if Shah Rukh Khan had agreed to Don 3, Ranveer would have been replaced instantly.
