Hrithik Roshan to make directorial debut with Krrish 4 - Here's when the film will go on floors

Krrish is one of the biggest superhero franchises. Fans have been manifesting for the release of Krrish 4 for ages. There have been reports that Rakesh Roshan won't be directing the film, and the filmmaker himself confirmed that in several interviews. Now, a recent report mentioned that Hrithik will make his directorial debut with Krrish 4, and notably, Rakesh confirms the news. 

Krrish 4 to be directed by Hrithik Roshan

Pinkvilla reported that Hrithik Roshan is all set to make his directorial debut with the much-awaited Krrish 4. Confirming the news to the portal, Rakesh Roshan said that he has passed the baton of the director of Krrish 4 to his son, who has lived, breathed and dreamt about this franchise since its inception. 

"Hrithik has a clear and a very ambitious vision of taking Krrish’s journey forward with the audience for the next decades. I couldn’t be more prouder to see him wear the director’s hat for a film that means the world to us as a family. Krrish has entertained audiences the world over and Hrithik will now reveal the next chapters of this superhero saga and take the vision I created so many years ago to greater heights," the filmmaker added.

Krrish 4 to go on floors in 2026

The portal also mentioned that Krrish 4 will go on floors in early 2026. The script is already locked and pre-visualization of this superhero story is underway. 

Speaking to the portal, Rakesh also added that Hrithik and Aditya Chopra are coming together as a director-producer pair, with him behind them, is a rare and deliciously creative combination. "I am sure they will turn Krrish 4 into a theatrical experience that has never been made in India. The dream is to make India proud globally with a larger-than-life experience like Krrish 4," he added.

Meanwhile, Krrish (2006) is a superhero film where Krishna Mehra, who inherits special abilities from his father Rohit, becomes the superhero Krrish and battles the evil scientist Dr. Arya, who wants to use Rohit's powers for his own gain. The second and third instalments have equally gained love and praise from fans and critics.
