HT India's Most Stylish 2023: When Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar came on stage together

The most prestigious ‘HT India's Most Stylish 2023’ is finally here. And in order to attend the star-studded function, there were many of the ‘who’s who’ of the showbiz who had turned up for the not-to-be-missed' event.

One of the highlights of the evening was the union of sorts. We are indeed talking about the ‘Mast Mast’ lady Raveena Tandon and Akshay ‘Khiladi’ Kumar. Looking back, readers may know that, even though they were a couple earlier, the two parted ways and got married to their respective partners. While Akshay Kumar got married to twinkle Khanna, Raveena Tandon got married to Anil Thadani. Post their marriages, they were hardly seen together at any of the functions or parties. That’s why both of them became the center of attention when they had come together on stage at ‘HT India's Most Stylish 2023’.

This was followed by a Q & A session between the host Riteish Deshmukh with Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon. When the host told the two (Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon) stating that since they have lived and seen the nineties, who, in their opinion was the Ranveer Singh of the nineties! To which, Akshay Kumar, after spending a couple of minutes thinking about it, replied, “Govinda!”. Then the host asked him to name the ‘Malaika Arora’ of the nineties. To this, Akshay Kumar said, “Mamta Kulkarni”, which was then ‘approved’ by Raveena Tandon. And when the host Riteish still prodded Akshay and Raveena to name a couple of more Malaika of the nineties, Raveena Tandon, at first said that Malaika is incomparable. After a few moments, pat came the reply from Raveena Tandon stating, “Its Shilpa. She always had a classy style”. Then, suddenly, Ravena Tandon realized something and she told Riteish... ‘But...Malaika was from the nineties. ‘Chaiiyaa Chhaiyya’ was from the nineties”

And when the host Riteish Deshmukh asked them as to who were the Sidharth and Kiara of the nineties? To which, pat came the reply from Akshay Kumar who said, “Ajay and Kajol”. And then, Riteish... in his inimitable style asked Akshay Kumar ‘THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION”. Ritesh asked Akshay who was the Karan Johar of the nineties. Akshay, with his trademark smile and style intact said, “There is nobody like him”. That’s when Raveena Tandon chipped in saying, “Aree... But even Karan Johar is from the nineties. We are all from the nineties. Complete rockstars, will remain rockstars and forever be rockstars”.
