George Clooney discussed the excitement actors experience when handed a franchise. Often, the delight involved is so great that one fails to notice the final product being created. At the very least, it is what transpired when he played Batman in the 1997 film Batman and Robin.
George talked about accepting the role with Anil Kapoor on the last day of the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2022. He claimed that new actors tend to get overly enthusiastic about things like franchises.
While questioning George, Anil said that he saw somewhere that he laughed so hard that he nearly killed the franchise. The fact that the Hollywood star said others don't comprehend it is amusing. It's incredibly exciting when one is just scraping by and someone offers them a franchise. When they inform them that they are Batman, one exclaims, "Yay! I'll play Batman." Nobody genuinely believes that it will be awful. George kept thinking that this was amazing, but one sees what happened.
Both critically and financially, Batman and Robin failed. It received criticism for having a too-campy tone and for showing too little respect for the genre. Since then, Batman has appeared in films starring Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, and Robert Pattinson.
George also discussed his collaboration with Gravity director and Oscar winner Alfonso Cuaron. The actor said that the filmmaker and his eye are really sharp. The entirety of Gravity was filmed in front of a green screen. According to him, one of the greatest sci-fi/survival thriller films ever created is still regarded as Gravity. Sandra Bullock played the main role of an astronaut who gets stuck in space after something goes wrong. In the film, George makes a special cameo.
George last appeared with Julia Roberts in the movie Ticket to Paradise. In the romantic comedy, Kaitlyn Dever also starred. They portrayed a divorced couple who reconcile in Bali to stop their daughter from making a poor life decision.
