Hum Do Hamare Do teaser: Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon 'adopt' Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah as parents

After unveiling a unique promotional still featuring Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon, the makers of Hum Do Hamare Do have dropped the teaser for the film. The quirky film reunites the Bareilly Ki Barfi actors and also features Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah in the lead roles. Hum Do Hamare Do is a story about a couple who is 'adopting' a new set of parents for their marriage.

The teaser sees Rajkummar's character stuck in a pickle when his ladylove played by Kriti summons his parents to speak about their marriage. We also catch glimpses of the inimitable Paresh Rawal as well as the delightful Ratna Pathak Shah in the teaser.

Dinesh Vijan produced Hum Do Hamare Do also features Aparshakti Khurana in a pivotal role. The film is directed by Abhishek Jain and is set to be an OTT release. Yes, the film is releasing on Disney+ Hotstar ahead of Diwali weekend that is, on October 29, 2021. 

Earlier it was reported that Dimple Kapadia will be playing the onscreen wife of Paresh Rawal in Hum Do Hamare Do. However, she was later replaced by Ratna Pathak Shah in the film.

This is not the first time we will see Rajkummar and Kriti have films directly released on OTT. The National Award-winning actor had two films that were directly released on OTT in 2020 - Ludo on Netflix and Chhalang on Amazon Prime Video. Whereas, Kriti's OTT debut was Mimi which dropped on JioCinema and Netflix earlier this year.

Interestingly, Dinesh's home banner Maddock Films has been exploring the world of OTT starting with Mimi and also SonyLIV original series titled Chutzpah which was dropped a few months back. Their latest OTT outing is Shiddat starring Sunny Kaushal, Radhika Madan, Mohit Raina and Diana Penty which was released on Disney+ Hotstar just a couple of days back.
