In January, Amazon MGM Studios announced the acquisition of global rights to the documentary I Am: Céline Dion, which shines a spotlight on the iconic Canadian singer. Helmed by Oscar-nominated director Irene Taylor, the film delves into a pivotal chapter in the life and journey of Celine Dion, a revered and successful artist in the realm of pop music. On April 16, the release date and the first look of the documentary have been unveiled.

OTT details of I Am: Céline Dion

I Am: Céline Dion – the documentary based on the life of the Canadian singer, can be accessed on Amazon Prime Video beginning June 25 onwards. The runtime of the documentary is 102 minutes (about 1 hour 42 minutes) only.

Along with the documentary's release date announcement, the first look of the project was also unveiled today. The look showed Céline Dion as an energetic personality.

Céline Dion’s health struggles

Céline Dion, the French-Canadian singer, bravely revealed that she has been recently diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS), a rare neurological disorder that causes the muscles to spasm uncontrollably. In a heartfelt message shared in December 2022, she expressed, “I have been battling health issues for quite some time now, and it has been a tough journey for me to confront these obstacles and open up about my struggles...I regret to inform you that I will not be able to resume my European tour in February as planned.” Months after the diagnosis, she continues to seek a proper line of treatment.
