I Am Groot season 2 release date: When and where to watch the spinoff series of MCU's Guardians of the Galaxy

The second instalment of Guardians of the Galaxy's spinoff series, I Am Groot is all set to release soon. The short OTT series is directed and written by Kirsten Lepore and stars Vin Diesel as the voice of the titular character. 

Plot of the show

I Am Groot season 2 is part of Phase Five and the continuation of the first instalment that chronicles the events taking place in Groot's life as he grows up and meets new people and aliens from different universes.

Along with an adorable poster, the makers dropped an entertaining and dramatic trailer video of the upcoming series that sees Groot living his life to the fullest and taking his own time to grow and learn in solidarity. The official video was released on Marvel Entertainment's official YouTube channel with a special caption that reads, "You woodn't beleaf what Groot gets up to in Season! Marvel Studios’ #IAmGroot Season 2 is streaming September 6 on Disney+. #NationalTreeDay (Sic)."

Cast and Release date of I Am Groot Season 2

Apart from Vin Diesel in the titular role of Groot, the forthcoming short series also stars Bradley Cooper and Jeffrey Wright in key roles. Bankrolled by Craig Rittenbaum and Alex Scharf, Marvel Studious' I Am Groot Season 2 is scheduled to be released in India on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, on Disney Plus Hotstar.
