‘I am overwhelmed with gratitude..,’ Sivakarthikeyan thanks fans for the outpouring of love on his birthday

Sivakarthikeyan will be next seen in Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. The teaser of the film was unveiled on his birthday on Saturday (February 17). Amaran will have the actor play the role of Major Mukund Varadarajan, the leader of the Indian Army's 44th Rashtriya Rifles Cheetah Company in Jammu and Kashmir. 

Sivakarthikeyan pens heartfelt note

Sivakarthikeyan took to his social media handles on Sunday to pen a heartfelt note, thanking fans for the outpouring of love on his birthday. He expressed gratitude for all the love that was showered on him on his birthday by his friends, supporters in the industry, media and fans. He also thanked the Amaran team for releasing the title glimpse. 

"My heartfelt thanks to my producer Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan sir, Sony Pictures, director Rajkumar Periyasamy, Mahendra sir, Disney, and the entire team of Amaran for making the day even more special and memorable with the teaser," he wrote.

It was also a double bonanza for the actor since the film he produced, Kottukkaali, had its world premiere at Berlinale on his birthday. The film stars Soori and Anna Ben and is directed by PS Vinothraj.

Sivakarthikeyan also celebrated his birthday on the sets of SK 23, the film in which he is teaming up with AR Murugadoss. Sivakarthikeyan signed off by thanking his fans who showed love to him on social media and by arranging welfare activities.

Sivakarthikeyan’s line-up

The actor was last seen in Ayalaan, which released in theatres in January. The actor will be next seen in Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. Sai Pallavi plays the female lead in Amaran, marking her first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan. Amaran has music by GV Prakash.

The actor also has SK 23 with director AR Murugadoss. The film was launched recently and has commenced production. Actor Rukmini Vasanth will play the female lead, marking her Tamil debut, with Anirudh Ravichander scoring the music.

Sivakarthikeyan is also producing Kottukkaali under his banner Sivakarthikeyan Productions. The film, starring Anna Ben and Soori, is yet to get a release date.
