I have messaged Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir many times for an audition, says Janhvi Kapoor

Even though Janhvi Kapoor hails from a family of filmmakers and actors, it’s purely her determination which has brought her so far. This year, she completes 5 years of being in Bollywood. In the recently held ‘India Today Conclave 2023’, the Gen-Z actress spoke about a lot of things under the sun, including her esteemed legacy, learning cricket for her upcoming film, about the pre-conceived notions about the industry and much more.

When asked about her esteemed legacy, Janhvi Kapoor replied that the legacy angle had become her identity and now, it’s a source of motivation. She added that she had reached a point in her life where she was so tired of being apologetic about it. But then, she thought about why she should be ashamed of her legacy but why should she let it take away from who she was. She also added that she was thankful and grateful that she had got so much because of the legacy. She said that she will work harder to do justice to it.

When asked about the audition aspect in her life, she replied that she had messaged Sanjay Sir (Sanjay Leela Bhansali requesting him to meet her once and take her audition. She very clearly stated that there was no ego at all (in asking for work). She also added that she knew that she was not at the stage (of her life) where she could (afford to say) that she would wait for the people to come to her. She made no qualms in saying that she was hungry for work and that she would want to work with these people (Sanjay Leela Bhansali and likes).

Speaking about her upcoming project ‘NTR 30’, she said (read ‘confessed’) that she had manifested it every day and that the film (‘NTR 30’) was going to be the first time that the manifestations worked for her. She added that she messages the director every day. She also added that, to be able to share screen space with Jr NTR would be one of the biggest joys of her life.
