A teaser trailer of upcoming young adult series, I Know What You Did Last Summer, produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television, was released recently.

The Amazon Original is touted as a modern update of the 1997 horror movie that starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, and Freddie Prinze Jr.

The clip, set to Olivia Rodrigo's 'brutal', sets the tone of story, which follows a group of high school students stalked by a mysterious killer, one year after a fatal car accident on their graduation night.

The cast includes Madison Iseman, Bill Heck, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, Sebastian Amoruso, Fiona Rene, Cassie Beck, and Brooke Bloom.

I Know What You Did Last Summer has been adapted from Lois Duncan's novel of the same name, which also formed the basis of the 1997 blockbuster movie.

Sara Goodman (Gossip Girl) writes and executive produces alongside executive producers Shay Hatten, Original Film’s Neal Moritz and Pavun Shetty and Atomic Monster’s James Wan, Rob Hackett and Michael Clear.

According to a press statement, the series is directed by Craig Macneill, who also serves as executive producer on the first episode.

I Know What You Did Last Summer will hit Amazon Prime Video on 15 October this year.
