Filmmaker Nelson heaved a sigh of big relief after his latest movie Jailer, starring Superstar Rajinikanth in the lead, clicked with the masses across the world. Jailer was a make or break for Nelson as his career suffered a small setback when his last movie Beast , starring Thalapathy Vijay, received mixed reviews, casting doubt about Nelson's directorial skills.

The commercial success of Jailer has come as a huge relief for Nelson. In an interview following the movie's release, Nelson revealed his wish to direct Rajinikanth and Vijay in the same movie.

"I am fascinated to see how it would look, as I like their body language and nature. It would have a lot of swag. I felt that while making Jailer," said Nelson in an interview with Galatta.

"It's very hard to cater to their (Rajinikanth and Vijay's) stature in the script. But, their onscreen combination would be deadly," he added.

If Jailer is anything to go by, Nelson seems to have what it takes to craft a movie that could accommodate multiple superstars in the same frames. One of the high points of Jailer is the cameos played by superstars like Shivarajkumar and Mohanlal. Although they only appear in just two scenes, the screen presence of these two stars coupled with Rajinikanth took the excitement level of fans to another level.

Nelson also discussed the possibility of doing sequels to his two big hits: Jailer and Beast. He suggested that these two movies were character-driven and that allows him the opportunity to put the characters of Rajinikanth's Muthuvel Pandian and Vijay's Veera Raghavan in different scenarios. Instead of being plot-driven, he noted the sequels could be a character study as both Muthuvel and Veera come across as oddballs with their own idiosyncrasies.
