IB 71 has earned under Rs. 2 crores on its opening day. The Vidyut Jammwal starrer has a poor first day. The movie released in theatres on May 12.

Vidyut’s film has earned Rs. 1.75 crores net, according to a report on Box Office India. The movie has worked better than An Action Hero, Kuttey and Gumraah. They all earned Rs. 1.25 crores.

IB 71 has earned better than Vidyut’s Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2 too. The film had also minted Rs. 1.25 crores on its opening day, when it released in July, 2022.

The opening day Box Office collections for the movie are poor but that also happens because The Kerala Story is working amazingly in cinemas. The movie has earned only Rs. 80 lakhs less than Akshay Kumar-Emraan Hashmi’s Selfiee.

IB 71 is expected to mint Rs. 15 crores over the weekend. Whether the movie can actually earn that much, remains to be seen.

Vidyut’s Commando franchise has previously earned Rs. 21 and Rs. 32 crores at the Box Office. IB 71 is also expected to earn at least Rs. 21 crores at the Box Office. The movie might even reach closer to Rs. 40 crores, which is closer to the budget of the film.

IB 71, produced by Vidyut, was made on a budget of Rs. 50 crores. The movie’s digital rights are sold to Disney+Hotstar.

Vidyut’s film has no real competition except The Kerala Story at this point of time. The movie can work at the Box Office for another month without competition. The real competition will come from Prabhas’ Adipurush and Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan, which also release on June 16 and 23 respectively.
