It's official! Ibrahim Ali Khan's much-awaited acting debut Nadaaniyan is in the works. The makers have confirmed the news with a poster featuring Ibrahim himself along with his co-star Khushi Kapoor. In the poster, they both lay on grass, him holding her as she lays over his shoulder. While Khushi made her acting debut already, Ibrahim will be launched into the industry with the movie. And backing him is none other than Karan Johar! Here's everything you wanted to know about the movie...
Nadaaniyan (English meaning: naive moments), like the title suggests, is about everything that happens when you fall in love for the first time. The story revolves around a South Delhi girl Piya and a Noida boy, Arjun. The two drastically different worlds come together and the only thing bringing them back to one another is that they are each other's first love.
Ever since Sara Ali Khan made her acting debut, there was buzz on when would her brother Ibrahim be seen as an actor. She had confirmed his interest in acting, but there hasn’t been much update since. After no longer being as media-shy as he was five years back, Ibrahim is finally here, ready for the world of acting. This happens a year into him making his Instagram debut. Unfortunately, it also happens to be almost right after his father Saif Ali Khan was attacked and stabbed by an intruder. Saif got treated for the same and is back home, owing to which Ibrahim could go back to his shooting schedule, and it looks like Saif will begin work soon as well.
Backed by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment, Nadaaniyan is a Netflix original film. It will stream directly on the OTT platform. The makers promise that the story will explore the 'trials and tribulations' of first love.
Apart from Ibrahim and Khushi, Shauna Gautam's Nadaaniyan also stars Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza and Jugal Hansraj in pivotal roles.
