After having won two of their games, Team India is on a high and will be looking forward to carrying on the momentum when they face South Africa in Perth. However, more than Indian fans, Pakistani fans will be eagerly watching the clash as the result of this game would affect the Men in Green.

Babar Azam and his men had faced a do-or-die clash against the Netherlands on Sunday and won by 6 wickets. However, apart from their own result, they will also hope for the Men in Blue to win all of their remaining games.

Having lost their opening two matches, Pakistan will be needing a helping hand from their neighbors.

Given the qualification scenarios, Pakistani fans were seen sending their support to the Indian squad.

Team India will now have the support of not just 1.3 billion people from back home but also the 22 crores Pakistani population as well when they will face Proteas in their crunch Group 2 clash.

The various qualification scenarios for Pakistan:

Pakistan will need to win all of their remaining fixtures [more on those shortly], while also relying on other results elsewhere.

Pakistan's only hope to reach the qualification point now hinges on India's win against South Africa.

If any two of India, South Africa, and Zimbabwe win two of their remaining three matches then Pakistan will not qualify.

To make things clear, Pakistan will need to win their remaining matches, India should beat South Africa, Bangladesh, and Zimbabwe to top the group, and Zimbabwe must fail to beat one of Bangladesh or the Netherlands.

While not mathematically impossible, however, Pakistan's hopes will heavily rely on others to go in their favor.
