Idli Kadai release date:

Idli Kadai is set for theatrical release on October 1. After being scheduled to release earlier this year, Idli Kadai was postponed to avoid clash with Good Bad Ugly. Now, Idli Kadai will release just a day ahead of Kantara: Chapter 1.

The trailer of Idli Kadai was released by the makers on social media a few days back. A straightforward cut, the trailer bares out the story of the film. It shows the character of Dhanush whose parents run a small idli stall and after tasting success later in his life, Dhanush returns home to make his parents' humble eatery a success.

Idli Kadai plot:

Idli Kadai revolves around Dhanush's Murugan who comes from humble background, with his father played by Rajkiran who owns a small idli eatery. Even as Murugan climbs up the career ladder, he returns back to his roots, in order to revive the idli eatery. In this journey, he is met with challenges.

Idli Kadai cast:

The film stars Dhanush in the lead role, with Arun Vijay playing the opposing force. Nithya Menon pairs up with Dhanush for the second time after Thiruchitrambalam. Actors Shalini Pandey, Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, Samuthirakani, Parthiban and others, appear in important roles in Idli Kadai.

Idli Kadai is written and directed by Dhanush, in his fourth directorial after Pa Paandi, Raayan, and Nilavuku Enmel Enadi Kobam. Dismissing the rumours that the film might be a biopic of a chef, Dhanush clarified that Idli Kadai is film that he has written keeping his childhood memories. With Dhanush being one of the producers, Idli Kadai has music by G.V Prakash Kumar. The technical crew includes editor G.K Prasanna, and cinematographer Kiran Koushik.
