Tamil film Idli Kadai has been showing a decent run at the box office, even as it dipped collections since day one. The Dhanush film which hit theatres on October 1, will be enjoying not only the long festive weekend but also extended run given the next set of films are only set to release for Diwali.

So far, the film has made a worldwide collection of Rs 43.4 crore, with majority coming from Tamil (Rs 30.35 crore). Idli Kadai saw a slight rise in collection on Saturday, from Friday's Rs 5.6 crore to Rs 6.15 crore.

Idli Kadai debuted in theatres on October 1, and ever since then its lowest fall was on Friday with Rs 5.6 crore. But compared to his first day earnings of Rs 11 crore, Idli Kadai has never been able to achieve the double-digit magic. Given there is one more week for the film to have uninterrupted run by new releases, Idli Kadai is expected to do well, especially in tier 2, 3 cities and towns.
The film is written and directed by Dhanush, Idli Kadai features the star as the protagonist. The film also stars Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Rajkiran, Sathyaraj, Shalini Pandey, Ilavarasu, Parthiben, Samuthirakani and others. The film released in theatres along with Kantara: Chapter 1, which has been giving tough competition to Dhanush film.
