Another week, and another set of OTT releases. In this week, the major Tamil film to drop on the streaming side is Idli Kadai. The Dhanush film is available to watch on Netflix. As the film makes its OTT debut after a month of theatrical run, here is how much it made totally at the box office.
Idli Kadai OTT release: How much did Dhanush film make
The 2025 Tamil film Idli Kadai is now streaming on OTT. The rural drama stars Dhanush in the lead role, who also took up writing and directing responsibilities of the film. Idli Kadai released in theatres on October 1, and exactly four weeks since then, it is now on Netflix to watch. It can be streamed in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, among other regional languages.
As per Sacnilk, the film has made Rs 71.75 crore worldwide, with India's gross collections amounting to Rs 59 crore. Unfortunately, this Dhanush film did not make it to the top 10 highest grossers of Tamil cinema this year. Even as Dhanush's bilingual film Kuberaa is holding the fifth position (with about Rs 115-132 crore), Idli Kadai with mere Rs 70 crore had a decent run at the box office but could not make records. It is also to be noted that Idli Kadai arrived in theatres along with blockbuster Kantara Chapter 1, which had taken the box office by storm.

Actors Arun Vijay, Rajkiran, Shalini Pandey, Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, Geetha Kailasam, Samuthirakani, Ilavarasu, and Parthiban, among others, support Dhanush in this film, which has music scored by GV Prakash.
A story of a youth who leaves his village to pursue higher ambitions, Idli Kadai features Dhanush as Murugan, who is forced to return home and take up the responsibility of continuing his father’s legacy.
