Idli Kadai runtime revealed: Dhanush finalises crisper runtime than Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1

Idli Kadai, the upcoming Tamil film starring Dhanush and helmed by the star himself, is set to hit theatres very soon. The film will be releasing on October 1. Idli Kadai is touted to be a feel-good drama, and the runtime of the film has been revealed.

Idli Kadai is a 2025 Tamil drama film. It marks the fourth directorial of Dhanush, who is also starring as the protagonist. Idli Kadai is planned for theatrical release on October 1, and the trailer of the film has created just the right amount of anticipation.

Censored a clean U, the film has a runtime of two hours and 27 minutes, which is lesser than Kantara: Chapter 1, which is two hours and 48 minutes. Dhanush's film has carefully locked a runtime that is not too long and not past three hours either. Idli Kadai is Dhanush’s fourth directorial after Pa Paandi, Raayan, and Nilavuku Enmel Enadi Kobam. The film features an ensemble cast including Nithya Menen, Sathyaraj, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Samuthirakani, Rajkiran, P. Samuthirakani and Parthiban.

Idli Kadai Vs Kantara: Chapter 1:

Idli Kadai will be releasing on October 1, just a day ahead of Kannada action drama Kantara: Chapter 1. The Kannada sequel has been one of the much-anticipated sequels this year, and given the pan-Indian success of the first part, all eyes are set on the Rishabh Shetty directorial. Coincidentally, both the actors are starring and directing their respective films. Only time will tell how the films will fare at the box office.
