The 52nd edition of the International Film Festival of India kickstarts in Goa, India. India's biggest film festival opens its doors for delegates on Saturday. 

India's oldest and one of the most popular festivals, the 52nd edition of the festival will feature movies, both feature and non-feature from across the globe. 

Delegates who have registered for the event are slowly showing up to the event, receiving their ID cards. 

"The festival will start off with a star-studded inaugural ceremony at Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Panaji, Goa, with the presence of film personalities namely Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh, Shraddha Kapoor, amongst others.", read a press release as reported by ANI. 

The festival will showcase a variety of curated movies across genres and languages. Movies such as Palme d'Or winner Titane, Spencer, Power of Dog, Parallel Mothers, A Hero, Red Rocket and Pebbles will be screened at the film festival. 

The opening film for the 52nd edition of the International Film Festival of India is The King of all the World (El Rey de Todo El Mundo) directed by Carlos Saura will be the Opening Film of the festival.

The retrospective section of this year's festival will host movies of famed Hungarian filmmaker Bela Tarr and Russian filmmaker and stage director Andrei Konchalovsky. 

The festival, which will feature 148 films from about 73 countries in the International Section with about 12 world premieres, about seven international premieres, 26 Asia premieres and about 64 India premieres will come to an end on November 28, 2021.
