Remember how one remark made by comedian Chris Rock regarding Will Smith's wife Jada Pinkett Smith's hair loss problem at the 94th Academy Awards triggered an incident between the two men? The particular instance generated a passionate debate on insult comedy. And now, Farah Khan, one of the IIFA Rocks hosts, has spoken out about the need to have boundaries in comedy, especially when hosting an award show.

During the IIFA 2022 press conference in the UAE, Farah told ANI that it's crucial to strike a balance between joking around with someone and insulting them. That line must be drawn. The choreographer-filmmaker has been in this field for 30 years, and everyone knows she has a good sense of humour and can go above and beyond. Farah can't, however, make the other person feel awful.

When asked if there's any exercise she does before entering the stage, she said that she has done a lot of TV, but this is the first time she has done it in front of a live audience. The energy at the press conference is likewise throbbing. They are excited to perform on stage, but they must keep in mind that it is not only for live audiences but also for television. One's jokes may not work for live or TV audiences at times when they are hosting; it's the other way around. This award presentation is wonderful because it allows viewers who would never otherwise have the opportunity to interact with celebrities to do so. For them, this is a watershed moment, and it also boosts the economy of the country in which it is held.
