Jaya Ahsan is all geared up with her Bollywood venture, Kadak Singh. Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the film also features Pankaj Tripathi and others. This year, team Kadak Singh, the director, and Jaya Ahsan attended the IIFA Awards 2023 in Abu Dhabi. In a chat with OTTplay, Jaya elaborated on her experience.

This was Jaya’s first IIFA Award. The actress attended the event on both the technical award night and the main award evening. “It was a fascinating experience. I never thought that I would be attending this award. I was there with Tonyda (Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury) and his team. It was a hectic two days. There were events one after the other and getting ready for each was a task. But I enjoyed it very much,” she said.

Jaya was seen in a white Dhakai with a designer touch on the first evening. The next evening she was in a black sari. “The first costume was by a Bangladeshi designer Sarah Karim. We chose a Dhakai Jamdani to bring the Bangladeshi flavour. On the final evening, it was Manish Malhotra. We decided on minimal makeup and accessories for the look,” she said.

Along with her other photos, Jaya shared a photograph with Dahaad actor Vijay Verma. The actress confessed that she could not resist the temptation of clicking a photo with him. “There were many other actors and actresses there at the event. The entire Bollywood was there. I met and talked with them. But when Tonyda introduced me to Vijay Verma, I instantly took a photo. He is my current favourite actor, especially after I watched his performance in Dahaad. We had a chat for about five minutes,” she said.
