Ikkis Box Office Collection Day 9: Agastya Nanda-starrer gets hit by new big releases like Prabhas’ The Raja Saab as it observes a slow growth on January 9. Also featuring Dharmendra in a pivotal role as Agastya’s father, Ikkis garnered a buzz on the internet. Despite positive reviews and a decent opening of Rs 7 crore, the captivating biopic suffered amid Dhurandhar’s craze. Within a week of its theatrical premiere, Ikkis has witnessed a major dip in its collection. On the second Friday, Ikkis minted only a few lakhs to its earnings, which is even far from a crore. Helmed by Sriram Raghavan, Ikkis stars Agastya Nanda in the titular role. Here’s more about the update on the box office…
Ikkis has entered the second week on a negative note as it continues to observe a dip in its numbers. Based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, this war hero film struggled to show improvement on its second Friday since its release on New Year. According to Sacnilk, Ikkis garnered Rs 85 lakh on January 9 (early estimates), indicating its weak performance despite the Friday weekend. The domestic collection now stands at Rs 26.35 crore.
Ikkis observed a short occupancy rate of 11.57%, although the morning shows opened with the lowest 6.75%, the afternoon and evening shows performed a bit better. The night shows observed a good growth of 15.74%.

Meanwhile, Prabhas’ The Raja Saab hit the screens on January 8 and witnessed a decent collection of Rs 6.15 crore in Hindi alone and an overall collection of 54 crore (early estimates) on its opening day.
From the creative mind of Badlapur filmmaker comes another promising movie. Ikkis is a gripping war biopic inspired by the real story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, who received India’s highest honour of Param Vir Chakra (PVC), for his exceptional valor and sacrifice. The war drama film also reflects on a soldier’s life as he juggles between family relationships, emotions, and his duty. Ikkis follows the events of the Battle of Basantar in 1971 (India-Pakistan war).
