Actress Ileana D’Cruz is a proud mommy to son Koa Phoenix Dolan. Giving updates to her followers on Instagram on how big Koa has gotten; Ileana shared a picture of her palm where she showed a bite mark.

Sharing the picture of the bite mark on her Instagram story, Ileana wrote, “Um how my boy gotten so big??”

Ileana and her partner, Michael Dolan, welcomed their bundle of joy, Koa Phoenix Dolan, on August 1, 2023. Announcing the arrival of their son, Ileana shared a touching message on Instagram, expressing the overwhelming joy they felt as parents. She wrote, "There are no words to express how overjoyed we are to welcome our sweet boy into the world. Our hearts are beyond full."

Speaking about why she named her son Koa, she told Bombay Times, “I wanted to name my baby something unusual because I have a unique name, too. Koa somehow stood out. I spoke to Mike (Michael) about it, and even he found it cute.”

She also said that the name Phoenix had been in her mind for a while and she found the line ‘Rising from the ashes like a phoenix’ inspiring. "I got a tattoo of a phoenix in 2018, which had a deep meaning for me. Mike loved the name and I hope Koa likes it too when he grows up,” she added.

Throughout her pregnancy journey, Ileana openly shared her experiences and emotions on social media, embracing the blessings and challenges of motherhood. Reflecting on her pregnancy, she described it as a beautiful blessing and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to experience such profound moments.

Soon after the birth announcement, reports surfaced regarding Ileana's marital status. According to details from a wedding registry accessed by DNA, Ileana and Michael Dolan reportedly tied the knot on May 13 of the same year, four weeks before Ileana announced her pregnancy.

After her son's birth, Ileana took a break from her acting career to focus on motherhood. While her last on-screen appearance was in The Big Bull alongside Abhishek Bachchan, she has completed filming for the social comedy film Unfair and Lovely with Randeep Hooda. Currently, she is involved in her upcoming project titled Lovers.
