Imran Khan breaks silence, confirms divorce from Avantika Malik, responds to 'homewrecker' claims regarding Lekha Washington

Imran Khan has finally addressed years of rumours by confirming his divorce from Avantika Malik. In a recent interview with Vogue India, he revealed that the couple had split up in 2019. Lekha Washington was also his girlfriend, he confessed. Imran stated in the interview that the rumours that he is seeing Lekha Washington are accurate. He separated and divorced in February 2019.

Imran's response to criticism and addressing sexism

Imran took to social media to respond to people who had said nasty things about Lekha. This story about Lekha being a "homewrecker" annoys him because it is sexist. They grew close during the lockdown, nearly a year after her separation from her partner—not from her husband, as commonly believed—and a year and a half after his separation from Avantika.

In 2011, Avantika and Imran were married, and they have a daughter named Imara. Both Imran and Avantika remained silent when rumours of their breakup started circulating early in 2019. Rumours circulated early in 2019 that they chose to part ways last year.

Avantika Malik's social media activity and speculations

Avantika has also been known to give hints about her private life on Instagram. While stuck in 2021, she found solace in the darkest nights. Avantika reshared an article on divorce and marriage in 2020, dubbing it a "truth bomb," whereas her previous post mentioned that she was "healing."

Vandana, Avantika's mother, denied the split speculations that circulated about her daughter and Imran in 2019. She had told In.com that they all read the news, and she can assure people that there is no such thing. They will resolve the differences, no matter what.

Family gathering

Both Imran and Lekha, along with his daughter Imara, recently attended his cousin and Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan's wedding.

Meanwhile, Imran, in the same interview, also revealed that he is reading scripts and gearing up for his comeback to the screen soon.
