Seasoned actor Mansoor Ali Khan is known for his unapologetic candour. At times, his bluntness has got him in serious trouble, but it's also one of the main reasons why he enjoys a cult following in Tamil cinema. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the fans of Mansoor. And after several attempts to work with him in a movie, Lokesh finally succeeded in casting Mansoor in his upcoming movie Leo.

Leo is one of the most-awaited movies of 2023 . Because, firstly, it stars Thalapathy Vijay under Lokesh's direction, and secondly, it has a star-studded supporting cast. Lokesh has assembled some of the big names to stake odds against Vijay's character in the movie.

Mansoor, however, in a recent interview revealed that the all-star cast won't overshadow Vijay. "Leo is out and out of Vijay's film. It will blow everyone's mind," Mansoor said during an interview with Galatta Tamil.

Mansoor also said that shooting for Leo put his patience to the test as he was irked by Lokesh and Vijay's urge to keep shooting a scene until it satisfied them. "I'm not just saying it for the sake of it. I have seen their efforts myself. They were very dedicated and focused on every shot. He would do even 40 takes if required without any complaints. They have sculpted every frame in this movie. I would lose interest in a shot after a couple of takes. But, not them. It actually tested my patience," he said.

Mansoor Leo is not Mansoor's first collaboration with Vijay. The two actors have worked together in several movies, including Vasantha Vaasal, Deva, Naalaiya Theerpu and Minsara Kanna. And he revealed that during the early years of Vijay's career, he was paid lesser than him. "In a movie, I don't recall its name, my pay was Rs 4 lakh, while for Vijay it was just Rs 2 lakh. But, those things don't matter in this profession. With his hard work, he has reached this place," he added.

Vijay is one of the highest-paid male actors in the Indian film industry today and commands a huge fan following, promoting many to dub him as the next "Superstar."

Written and directed by Lokesh, Leo is in now post-production. On August 15, to mark Arjun Sarja's birthday, the producers revealed a short teaser, introducing his character named Harold Das in Leo. Leo also stars Sanjay Dutt, Anugrah Kashyap, Trisha, Gautham Menon and Mysskin among others.

Leo is due in cinemas on October 19.
