In pic: Mahesh Babu gets shredded for SS Rajamouli's globe-trotting adventure, gives fitness goals

Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu is getting ripped for his next movie with director SS Rajamouli. For the first time, he posted his workout picture on his Instagram page much to the excitement of his fans. While Mahesh has always maintained a lean and athletic physique, he has never shared his workout pictures. His fitness routine sort of always remained some secret. 

What does Mahesh do to stay in shape? Is it long-distance running or CrossFit or boxing? Does he even lift weights? We didn't know anything. At least until now. It seems Mahesh follows a conventional bodybuilding routine coupled with swimming to stay lean and fit. 

Mahesh on Thursday posted a couple of pictures flaunting his biceps. "Arm day!!" he captioned his gym pictures. 

It seems he's getting ripped to play the globe-trotting adventurer in his next movie, which will be directed by SS Rajamouli. The project is still in the pre-production work. In the meantime, Rajamouli is busy with the Oscar campaign in the US. Once the global craze around RRR settles down, Rajamouli will resume the work on the Mahesh Babu-starrer . RRR has been nominated for the Oscars in the Best Orginal Song category. 

Earlier, in an interview, Rajamouli had revealed that his movie with Mahesh will be a "globetrotting action-adventure." He added that it will be on the lines of James Bond or Indiana Jones but with an Indian flavour. It seems the scale of the movie is huge in terms of geography. The filmmaker might be planning the movie to shoot in many locations across the world. 

In the meantime, Mahesh is shooting for director Trivikram Srinivas's next. Temporarily titled SSMB28, the film stars Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Bankrolled by Haarika & Hassine Creations, the filmmakers have not revealed their release plans.
